DeQuevedem Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 (edited) Hi there I have been floating around this cool froum house which is insanelymac, and i have found some contradictory information about the possibility of get Core Image or Quarx Extreme running on the 845 chipset graphic card (id 2562). Its not clear to me if that can actually be possible or not. Have read a thread about renaming/editting the 830 915 kexts but i didnt found clear if that method works for the 845 one or contrary only works for 855/865/915 and so on. Another one using some 1.4.1 modified kexts, some other using 1.4.7 ones, another guys claimming that workaround were not working... Can anyone, pls, be so polite and clarify this to me? Im running JaS 1.4.8 on a samsung v25 with 845 (gv?) chipset. All my other hardware is well recongnized. Sound, ethernet, etc etc is in perfect working order. Im sure there are a lot of other members forum in the same boat as me, so the info ( explantaion, link to a related post, whatever ) will be bloody useful. Some people tried to get some money raised so that they could hire a coder but I think that they didn't get enough money.. Sorry. DeQuevedem Posted February 22, 2007 Author Share Posted February 22, 2007 A guy in the IRC claimed he got it working with 10.4.8, bu when i asked for the way to go or the files i need, told me that he didnt own them anymore since he get that computer sold. Anyone knows a bit on the subject? The desktop video speed i have right now is OK for me, but i cant see videos, and it sux.
