glitchman
Hey all, i just installed OSX on my laptop, got QE and CI, just need to take care of a few more issues: The laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T60, with a Core Duo T2400 SATA Controller in AHCI Mode: (it works in Compatibility mode, but when i switch to AHCI, i get still waiting for root device) The controller is an Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller according to windows, with the vendor id 8086 and the device id 27C5 SoundMax Audio Controller: I have no sound at all after installation on the Soundmax Integrated Digital HD Audio This controller has vendor id 11d4, and device id 1981 I doubt this will be able to be fixed, but the fingerprint reader would be cool, this has vendor id 0483, and device id 2016 If anyone needs help getting QE/CI working on this hardware, or would like to help me with my problems, feel free to IM me at xxmaddj2000xx. glitchman
ok, i managed to fix the SATA problem... apparently, the ich7 patch messes up SATA compatibility with the Thinkpad T60's controller so if you want to install with AHCI mode, leave that ppf out... the SoundMax i managed to get working by deleting AppleHDA.kext, and editing azaliaaudio with my device and vendor id, but i still dont have line in. any luck for the fingerprint reader? also, i was wondering if it was possible to get things such as tap to click, and scrolling working with the touchpad. Thanks in advance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43117-ibm-thinkpad-t60-got-qeci-need-help-with-other-issues/#findComment-308522 Share on other sites
