witzer
i've managed to run mac os on my PC but having trouble with network card. my mobo is DFI nf4. i know nforce4 ethernet is not supported (HCL list). so i took my old ethernet card D-Link DFE-538TX (listed as compatible in HCL) and plugged it in my mobo. to test if the card's working or not, i ran it under Windows XP SP2. it is listed as Realtek RTL8139 NIC card. in other words, it worked. so i switch to OSX. bad news is although my card is listed compatible, it's not showing up in system preferences > network. tried tulip driver but no luck. so can't get my mac to go online thus far. Hagar
just a quick suggestion, but have you tried deleting: /System/Library/Extensions.mkext & /system/Library/Extensions.kextcache then rebooting?
