tuxuser33
Hi all, is there anybody capable and be willing to create the ultimate OSX-Rescue-CD? This board is full of posts. Poeple have trouble to install, boot, move, copy OSX. I think it should be a compilation in the manner of Linux-live-CD A reliable working Diskutil, partition-tools like GPARTED-CD,Partition-Magic, boot-repair like SuperGrub-CD or Suse-installation (and repair)-CD1. It should hold a small editor like mucommander /midnightcommander too. That would be a great improvement. It could help a lot of poeple trust their HackMac, use it for productive work. It would save a lot of pain and time. tuxuser33
They are doing hard work for a long time. But they want ALL. For now we have nearly NOTHING but hope. A spinoff without the hole overhead (graphical desktop)could do the job. tuxuser33
Nice. In case of that I would be blinded by the light. Noob's question would be: where to find? due to the late nite I did not find not even a shadow of it's shining light. Neonkoala
Currently you have to make it yourself but if you scour that forum the instructions to create a LiveDVD with various versions of OS X are around. Also there is a commercial solution available which if patched a bit would probably work better as it's designed for system recovery. tuxuser33
The last thread I found: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...22193&st=60 post #80 from November. Is it still alive? some things from rs are missing. Ha,ha! Nice to hear. What about the costs? Will it work with our fdisk-partitioning? conclusion: If you are familar with linux it will do the job. Or be patient (for ever?).
