Gets to the Darwin loader and just about when the apple logo starts to show (i.e. screen flashes) and then the processor reboots. The same experience on VMWare as well, except that the change to "Windows NT" mode made the install go through fine.

Works in VMWare with occasional hangs -- the Black Screen of Death (with the five different language)

Does anyone here know of any gems to get this baby to boot natively? I've tried several BIOS settings to no avail. Installed on a 80GB drive of its own.

Forgot to add that this was using a Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz processor (SSE3 enabled?).

Setup Details (again): Asus P5N32-E SLI, Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz, 800Mhz DDR, DVI

UPDATE-1: VMWare 10.4.7 (with Windows NT mode) works fine without networking. Hangs occasionally with networking (bridged). Tried to boot native disabling all the CPU options with no luck.

UPDATE-2: Found some pointers to some working setups

1) with 10.4.6

2) with 10.4.5

3) with 10.4.6

Astav,

For a native install, try the following in your bios:

set your hdd to raid mode instead of sata 1 or 2

to get graphics, try a card equal or lesser than 7600GT (I use 6800 ultra - 265mb) and don't forget to enable the titan patch in your custom install)

I have a P5N32E SLI SE Deluxe nForce 4 chipset - with AppleNforceATA.kext and AzaliaAudio.pkg you can find them in this forum.

Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86 running @ 2.05 - (2.4 occasionally when I need the speed)

2Gb DDRII (2x1Gb)
