AS of yet I'm aware that thee difference between a standard OS X install and a TabletPC install isn't great, but I was thinking - after things get a little hairier, such as with the Fujitsu PCI fixes, the various Audio Codecs and serial port ID's, would it be a good idea to create a fully updated version of OS X as a TabletPC installer DVD?

System support suggestions:

The Speedstep enabled Semthex intel kernels,

A full Serial Port driver with all known Port ID's entered under their own sections,

A full AppleHDA for all known Audio configurations,

Custom version of TabletMagic better integrated into OS X - Maybe allowing for TabletMagic itself to be installed separately to control external tablets,

The modified Power Management bundle,

Support for Tricky hardware busses - e.g. T421X PCI,

Custom default display driver to allow display rotation and brightness control,

Modified driver to support all three Maxell Yukon2 Variants,

Additional drivers for all Non-Apple-Standard Tablet Hardware,

Button Panel Drivers for models equipped with Fascia controls,

Screen rotation autodetection,

Inkwell hard-enabled by default,

Custom keyboard Layouts and layout creation tool,

Additional package suggestions:

The Gimp - Native Aqua version when available, as supports pressure sensitivity,

OpenOffice for Aqua (Not neooffice) - To replace good old Appleworks,

Custom Artwork package - To differentiate you from the average OS X Laptop,

MACAM - To support integrated Webcams and external USB imaging sources,

Fingerprint ID and Smart Card control software to interface with Security hardware.
