Ferret-Simpson
Scrap the CPU and motherboard and get a Core 2 Duo platform. It should be easy to rescue the rest of the system, just import it to the new motherboards and Macs Away! By the way, checking the hardware lists or using the search fuction is always an easy way to find your answer without waiting for someone to reply to your thread. ~hint~ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42669-can-i-install-mac_osx86-on-this-system/#findComment-305503 Share on other sites

frenchie
Why don't you run CPUZ and find out if your system supports the minimum requirements? Ferret-Simpson
Very good suggestion. Remember, even if your CPU is supported the rest of the computer may not be. OS X was never designed for use with anything other than intel or IBM/Motorola PowerPC chips. Just SEARCH the forum for your hardware, and LOOK IN THE WIKI. Never make me a moderator, I'll go crazy and just delete every thread about "Will my hardware work" I see. To be honest, the best idea would just be to build a new system of guaranteed supported parts, or purchase an Apple Mac. If you have budget problems, install it on a spare partition or drive; and see what happens.
