jbaruch76
i have tiger running on vmware, but it is incredibly slow, it's not even worth it to use, i was wondering if anyone had it running at a good speed and what maybe i could do to speed it up, i have a kind of old computer, so that probably doesn't help, but my windows is fine, and i have pretty much nothing on my internal hd, and i have an external 300gb hd where the tiger image is located Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4263-why-is-it-so-slow/ Share on other sites
Bing Lax
You might want to get the generic REAL installation of OS X since the vmware one is out dated and slow at this point in the game. also what are you computer specs? that might help out a little. the other thing is that if your booting off a usb hard drive it will be a lot slower if that is what you ment by the 300gig hard drive. PM me if you need instruction about anything. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4263-why-is-it-so-slow/#findComment-27358 Share on other sites
hobolooter
You are running a graphically intensive operating system within an operating system. Sadely it's slow. Install it natively it's worth the effort. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4263-why-is-it-so-slow/#findComment-27692 Share on other sites
