Hi all,

After installing JaS 10.4.6 DVD SSE2/SSE3 everything worked perfectly on my Dell Optiplex GX260, with the only real problem being DVD Player crashing, and mouse tearing. Everything else tested and working including OpenGL, QE, CI etc etc.

After updating to Jas 10.4.7 Combo update, and then JaS 10.4.8 SSE2 Only update - the mouse double-click no longer works in collumn view, and also doesn't work in many other situations, including switching songs in iTunes.

I think I can replace the .kexts from the original 10.4.6 installer, into 10.4.8 to get a perfectly working mouse. The problem happens with both PS2 mice, and USB optical wheel mice. I have tried everything, including USB overdrive - replacing the middle click with double-click.

The .kext solution sounds the best, and I have seen some applePS2.kext type files in the System/Library/Extensions folder already.

Does anyone know what kexts are used for mouse input? and also if ACPI might be causing the problem - I understand that 10.4.6 was the last OSX86 to support ACPI?

all help appreciated
