ryan91
I have the generic Dvd install almost downloaded nad I want to intall it on my windows xp laptop, i want to dual boot and I heard I could just make a FAT32 partition and use disk utility on the installer to format ONLY THAT PARTITION without erasing the content on the windows xp partition, is this True? and if so, when I install OSX x86 How do I get it to boot? Can I just download the file "chain0" and set in the startup file in xp C:\chain0="Moc OSX" ??or do I have to go through Darwin and stuff? PS: I am trying to install from the "marklar-tiger-patch" dvd, I believe it has all patches applied [Link removed to comply with DMCA] -Thanks! m4ff3w
You are correct for the installation. For me, I just use the bootmanager included in Darwin.
ryan91
So the bootmanager automattically installs alowing me to boot into xp and os X without editing anything or downloading anything else, Okay thanks for the Help!
m4ff3w
Yes, you just have to remember it will boot OSX by default, you have to manually select Windows if that is what you want to boot into. Although that could be changed, for sure. I'm just lazy.
