Guest
Let's make this topic the main topic about OSX86 on SSE-processors. Is anywone trying to recompile Darwin/OSX to run on non-SSE2 processors? And, how is it going with runnning it on QEMU or Bochs? Can anywone make a guide to do so? Mr. Bond
Basically, it isn't worth it to try to get it working with SSE2. Most new computers, or even ones from the past couple years have SSE2 Support in them. Newer ones even have SSE3. The plain and simple fact is, Official versions of Tiger will only support SSE3, and possibly even SSE2, but most likely not SSE as it is an older tehcnology which is not as up to date as the newer instructions. As far as I know, no-one is working on a SSE2 patch, as it is just not worth most people's while. Therefore, I'm locking this thread, unless someone can tell me otherwise that people are actually working on getting osx86 working on a SSE processor.
