trackpad kext

Hello, I have a easy question, I think.

 

I have the trackpad Kext.(little white box). My question is where do I install this kext?? I have one for the power meter, and it went into /system/Library/Core Services. But I have tried everyplace I can think of. I know this works, because I have gotten it to the correct folder before. But for the life of me I can't remember where???

/System/Library/Extensions/

 

Remember to repair permissions after you drop it in there, and then reboot to see if it loads.

Thanks for the reply jrrjrr! I tried 6 times and it says could not load Extension. This is weird because this worked several times in the past? What gives? :-(

 

Any Ideas?

Try:

 

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/**Kext Name**

 

Hit enter, type your password and reboot

Just wanted to say that I got the trackpad problem fixed! :pirate2: :pirate2: :pirate2:

Seems that if I put the computer to sleep for a few seconds the clicking starts to work! :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

Now to get scrolling to work
