aCilnv
Right guys, for all of you who had/have this problem - Cracked LCD Screen on MacBook Pro - I dont know how much Apple Care want to cahrge you to fix it but i did it all for $375 ( Including Shipping). It is a pretty straight forward procedute (and by that i mean - follow the instructions in the Apple Service Manual - found on the net as a file calles MacBook-Pro.pdf. Nohing to catch you out. Just make sure that you keep all the different screws seperate cause they are bloody small ! My MacBook Pro works great now !!! Anyone want any more detailed help, pm me. jrrjrr
I have had to replace 2 screens on Dell laptops over the years. Where did you purchase your replacement screen from? And was it just the LCD itself that you replaced or the whole hinged top cover assembly? Just curious to know for when it is my turn Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42365-replacing-mbp-154-core-due-lcd-screen/#findComment-303666 Share on other sites
aCilnv
Hi, Bought it from http://www.agpartsworldwide.com , they shipped it for $375. I just installed the LCD Screen. In the existing frame. It was nerve wrecking to remove the old lcd from the frame as it was glued in at the top and bottom of the frame. All i can say is : have little holders to sort different screws into as they are BLOODY small. Best of luck guys! .
