Ok, first off I have a Foxconn 915A01-P-8EKRS2 mobo which has the ALC880 onboard sound. Now to get it working....and this is wierd...I have to FIRST apply skippyretards fix (if someone has a link post it, because I don't know how too :-P) then I go into kernel panic and can't boot my system. Then I have to go into my BIOS and shut off ALL onboard sound (my model has both AC97 and Azalia), and reboot. Then I have to put my AppleHDA.kext into a backup folder and perform Rammjet's fix (also someone please post link). Then when I'm done deleteing the extensions.* files/repairing permissions and rebooting I have to re-enable my Azalia in the BIOS. What's wierd, is if I have to delete the extensions.* files my sound goes out and I have to go through this process all over again. And I HAVE to do it in this order. If anyone can explain please do, but as I said....it's just WIERD!

Yes, but it only works after I do skippyretard's AppleHDA.kext solution, which sends me into kernel panic. I then have to disable my audio in the BIOS and apply the Rammjet solution in your link, and when I reboot it works. But it doesn't work if I don't do skippyretards fix first.
