Ok i've been reading for almost two weeks now and trying everything to no avail. I have an k8mm-v motherboard and 10.4.8 JaS sse2 sse3 ppf1 install, x850xt pe agp and i really want to get my card working. After reading around i see that most of these instructions around here are really bland and dont ever really get to the point. Im stuck at 1024x768 with no QE/CI, and i would desperately like to change my resolution and enable those features...i tried kitana and that gave me blue and black screen...

help would be awesome

no misleading links please

thanks in advance

The only thing you got to know is the device id of your gfx card, it appears to be 4b4c for your card but pherhaps you should double check my info.

Anyway here are the instructions:

1. Download:

http://z0rz.com/files/ATIScript.z0rz.v0.2.zip

2. Download:

http://www.load.to/?d=Ji8ppJBezM

3. Enter the directory that you got when unpacking the second file (koverg).

run: sudo ./patch9700.sh 4b 4c

4. Enter the directory that you got when unpacking the first file (ATIScript)

run:

cd ATIProj

sudo ./builddoe 4b 4c

sudo ./doe.sh cal8 0x0x0 2 1

Done!

if this doesnt work (it should) then try sudo ./doe.sh cal8 0x0x0 1 1 instead.

  • 1 month later...

hi thanks for those instructions i just installed it for my friend jamserver but i had one other quick question on it is there a way to add more than just one resolution i saw nothing on the files provided and nor on your instructions i think this could work it is my first time working with mac at the terminal level so if this is correct would you let me know:

sudo ./doe.sh $1 cal8 $2 1024x768x32 $2 1280x1024x32 $2 1440x900x32 $2 1600x1200x32 $3 1 $4 1

if this is incorrect how do i add the othere resolutions to my settings so that i dont have to always imput them via this process.
