skyywalker Posted February 13, 2007 Share Posted February 13, 2007 hey all.. i have a little problem here.. okay first is dvd player won't play dvd.. it say "a valid video device couldn't be find for playback" know why? and the second is my sata drive.. after instalation,and i boot for the first time my sata drive is already there on desktop.. i just realize that it can't write..meaning i can't change anything on my sata drive.. i can only access my file.. anyhelp would be appreciated.. thx.. zackint0sh Posted February 14, 2007 Share Posted February 14, 2007 you can get rw support for ntfs through macfuse, but it's slow and quirky. Google it if interested, but note it is a pretty manual process to install macfuse and the ntfs driver, and for mounting the volume. skyywalker Posted February 15, 2007 Author Share Posted February 15, 2007 hey zack...yes i solved the ntfs problem..with macfuse..thx.. now about the dvd playback,i know the problem was bcoz my video card isn't qe/ci yet.. i found natit.kext that support my video card,but i didn't know how to install it.. do u know zack?or anyone know?i need step by step natit installation.. skyywalker Posted February 15, 2007 Author Share Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) i use 10.4.6 jas dvd..natit installer isn't included.. thx for your link joe..i'll try it.. edit: i have try ur link joe..and it didn't work.. just blue screen but nothing happened.. now i can't boot..even safe boot ... anybody with x1300 pci-e have ever make your vga qe/ci?? need help here..wich method that you use.... edit again: i found out the neo installer didn't work because my kernel is still the old version.. i need to update to 8.8.1 but don't know how.. and can i update kernel without updating the osx..? coz downloading the new 10.4.8 will take weeks..
