The Baron
What are the last couple of lines (when PC hangs) when you type -v at Darwin boot? This is pretty important...
Guest Ramm
If it is similar to display vram=[0000000000]x[0000000] , then something is wrong with the video. Try booting with -x and then go to the extensions folder (System→Library→Extensions) and delete all of the drivers that have to do with your card (if you have an nVidia card, delete all the files that have to do with nVidia). Actually, put them in another folder so you can re-access them if need be. Edited February 13, 2007 by Ramm
bugler30
I am having a similar option, installing JaS 10.4.8, try to boot is safe mode and it does the same thing and I can't catch the last few lines of code, seems like its trying to boot in a video mode that some cards don't like (I have a ATI 9200) Installer works fine, and I had 10.4.1 on it running fine as far as video goes at 1024x768x32@60hz so if any one has come up with a solution for this, it would be of great help
codestain
I have exactly the same problem.. Can't see the last lines when I press -v I have an ATI rv370 radeon x550
codestain
Guys I fixed it.. When you select the patches don't select anything that isn't exactly the hardware of your computer. I have the ati video card but none on the patched described in the installation. Install nonw of them.. It will work.
