Purple Puppy
I heard a rumour that Leopard is going to have an improved application which will be able to open, edit, and create MS Word (and most of the other Office files). This is vital in getting people to buy a mac since currently the single greatest problem is trying to do Microsoft Office on Mac. Of course, you could buy (or download illegally) Office 2004, but then, apparently, it is 1) not as good as office 2007, 2) money goes to microsoft. Currently the text editor in Tiger can open doc files, but are really bad at it, and have really limited functions. I really hope this is true. It may guarantee a widespread use of Macs and save me a bunch of annoying troubles when doing the average assignment. Apple Freak
I found on this month's Macworld Magazine that Office 2008 is going to be for Mac. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42031-doc-and-docx/#findComment-300499 Share on other sites
