ok well i took a hint from another guy on some other forum ... that i will not mention lol

 

and renamed the ati9700 drivers to 9600 and did the kext load on the atiradeon.kext

then the ati9600.kext and loaded fine

 

 

tiger-x86:~ JaS$ sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeon.kext/

kextload: /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeon.kext/ loaded successfully

tiger-x86:~ JaS$ sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeon9600.kext/

kextload: /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeon9600.kext/ loaded successfully

tiger-x86:~ JaS$

 

the other guy got a blue tint to his screen ill check it when i reboot

but all seems fine right now

inow under graphics/displays i got this

just wondering is there a way to get core image and quartz working?

well its still has the kext loaded but now i get the blue tint too damn oh well lol ill have to go back i guess

 

i have rossetta working soooo... are ther ppc versions of the drivers and would those load up instead?

 

sry for the questions but never used a mac O/S before this
