flyinghendrix
This is for the following Mainboard: ASUS P5WD2-E Premium Intel 975X Chipset 1 Goto your Bios set IDE Configurations to Standard IDE instead of AHCI 2 Install any Osx86 3 After two Reboots go to Bios and set Controler Back to AHCI Mode thats it! (maybe this works with any other mainboard too.) If you get a boot Error saying "B0 Error" try fdisk command in console to repair your mbr Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41984-ahci-support-on-intel-ich7r/ Share on other sites
Guest bikedude880
Not to undermine your tutorial, but if your BIOS doesn't allow this setting to be changed (as is on many proprietary motherboards), then there is a patch that will allow the installer to boot and a patch on the DVD that enables the HD to boot after install. ICH7-R patch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41984-ahci-support-on-intel-ich7r/#findComment-300102 Share on other sites
