djXtreme
Im having this problem too. First got it when trying to get my Geforce 6800 working under JAS 10.4.8. Then switched to 10.4.8 Tubgirls version, and straight off the isntall I get that. Strange that I cant seem to find anything about it on this forum, and if i boot into the HDD using vmware, it works ?? e-rick
You should post more specifics... Can't really help you with so little to work on.. Which motherboard are you using? is your 6600 AGP, do you have Natit and/or AGPGart kexts installed? sse2/sse3 processor.. ? What you could try is reinstall Nvdaresman, nvdanv40hal, Natit and Geforce kexts from the 10.4.8 DVD. repair permissions and reboot.. djXtreme
im having exactly same problem. ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=41820 ) have tried manual natit install (JaS dvd), Intregrated N40 Titan install (Tubgirl Dvd), 3 different loginwindow.app versions (10.4.5/6 and a "modified" one as suggested. Have you tried anything like this? (NB a reinstall wont fix it, Im on my 3rd/4th install and they all the same. osx works fine in VMware (using physical disk its installed on), but not when i actually boot from the disk, which leads me to belive its something to do with the GFX card Ive got.) djXtreme
i think the tubgirl is meant to do it automatically (did you select N40 support in the custom installation?) JaS is meant to, but didnt for me and still needed editing with dev id's/.
