Genix Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 I have an ALC850 sound card and I can not get it to work. I tried to use this method: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=15173 but when I press the buttons I only get the static noise from one or two of the speakers. I know for a fact that all of my speakers work. It is really annoying because anytime I try to play a high quality movie in VLC (with 5.1 sound) I can not hear any of the speech. Does anyone have a working solution for ALC850? Or should I just buy a cheap 5.1 soundcard that work with OSx86? (And if so which one?) AppleIIGuy Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 I have alc850 in my system and It kinda works you will normally get sound out but on my system it jumps from speaker to speaker.
