success2be
Try the method here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;hl=crackling Make sure to change the setting to 24bit since you do have a 24bit sound card. I still hear some faint popping, not as loud as the popping before the settings change on my Creative SB0490 I'm still wondering if its because the volume output is too high causing the popping / crackling noises Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41562-usb-sound-produces-cracks-and-pops-appleusbuhci/#findComment-333313 Share on other sites
success2be
The weird thing I've noticed is that playing trailers and song samples in iTunes does not produce any crackling sound. I'm playing one of the radio stations right now through iTunes and the sound is perfectly clear. Playing files through quicktime or VLC or playing World of Warcraft does produce these crackling noises. I did a search for "crackling" on Apple's support discussion forums and there appears to be a lot of people experiencing crackling from their genuine Macs.
