Azurael Posted February 6, 2007 Share Posted February 6, 2007 ACPI CPU halting doesn't work very well under 8.8.1. What kernel are you using? If it's Semthex, it's not implemented at all. With mifiki/DaemonES, I believe it is implemented (though don't quote me on this one), although it often doesn't work, can cause instability where it does and you may need idlehalt=1 in your bootloader arguments to get it working. Otherwise, you're out of luck. OS X on laptops is a big pain right now.
