Normally my startup time hovers around 15-18 seconds, but lately its been taking about a minute to startup, and when it finally does start up, my hard drive is constantly being accessed for 2 minutes straight. i tried formating and reinstalling but to my surprise that didn't work, OS X functions just fine, i just fine this slow down unnecessary, and i want to avoid it if possible, can anyone help? Specs are in the sig.

thanks in advanced!

Well my OS X hard drive had 3 partitions on it, one for OS X, one for transfers between OS X and Windows, and a windows only partition for backup and such, i backed up the last two partitions (OS X had nothing important on it yet) to the windows hard drive, and deleted every partition on the OS X hard drive, formated it, then repartitioned it, that seems to have done the trick, i got all my programs and data installed again and OS X is still running just as fast ;)
