goheeba
i really deserve a functional editing machine. ive been working my tail off fixing the ghetto 10 hours a day everyday for 2 weeks without a day off. rodding the tubs and toilets of elgin illinois' ghetto. staining their tubs, tiling bathrooms, fixing their heaters, walking their stoves up and down 30 stairs, replacing their windows ect...... in order to put together 7-800 bucks. i do not feel like buying a computer or putting one together without some serious professional advice. ive already got final cut 5.1 studio, a 2800 dollar camcorder, a death lense (in the very near future), and some of the finest tallent to shoot, ever. so, i really deserve a functional editing machine. i WOULD just finance a macbook pro, or maybe a macbook, or even a mac mini, however ive noticed how much cheaper it is to just.. pirate mac onto a pc. and also how easy it is to build a pc. so. if somebody with a sweet ass self built editing machine could post their set up, or suggest not to cheap out on something so crucial, one or the other, thats just where im undecided. it just needs to work.. very well. nothing too extravagent. joe Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41125-editing-machine-on-a-budget/ Share on other sites
Alessandro17
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=7393&st=0 An old tutorial, but still very good, for a budget but fully working hackintosh. I added an ATI Radeon X1600XT to mine. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41125-editing-machine-on-a-budget/#findComment-293905 Share on other sites

DiaboliK
just remember final cut pro renders with the processor and not the graphics card so the beefier the processor the better final cut will render. Synaesthesia
My apologies boo50, I thought he had suggested an el-cheapo Asus. The Intel Bad-Axe 2. Killer mobo. I'm with you on the case as well. (It even gets bad review at newegg) Otherwise the system looks great! Do you need a monitor with that, too? Stuff is just so cheap in the USA. It's unfair!!!
