Shark nr.1 Posted February 4, 2007 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Hi i am using a dell computer inspiron 6400 - 1g ram, centrion duo 1.60, 60g hard-disk i have installed windows vista on my computer, i duelbooted with windows xp professional. xp is on FAT32 partition and Vista on NTFS. when i install the vista everything works for the first time, but when i turn off and then on the computer then straight away i get a checkdisk and starts scanning and deleting many files. when the scanning is done i get a black screen with a mouse, then my screen blinks blue with some writing but it is too fast so i cant read anyting. then it turns black and the computer restart. does anybody know how to fix that problem? please help me and thank you in andvance. bwhsh8r Posted February 4, 2007 Share Posted February 4, 2007 maybe you need to partition them both the same, but in xp it had the option to skip checkdisk, so maybe do that.... :/ this is a hard problem, and ill let you know if i think of aanything else. Which version of Vista do you have? That used to happen with versions previous to Final. Also, try to use NTFS for XP as well. You can convert it with Partition Magic.
