Xer Posted February 4, 2007 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Hi =] Finally after 5 long years of mac-wanting, I can get myself a new mac!! The problem is that I'm real cheap and I'm only using my computer for internet (selling on ebay and so) and a little bit for gaming and IM chatting, so I wanted your advice about which mac should I get. I'm thinking of getting: Mac Mini 2GB Ram + Apple Keyboard and Mighty mouse + 20" Cinema Display OR iMac 17" 2GB Ram (which possibly includes all accessories such as keyboard and mouse) What's the best choise according to your point of view? Is there a better alternative setup which will be either cheaper/better performance? mrks Posted February 5, 2007 Share Posted February 5, 2007 (edited) If you want to game, you better but the iMac with the ATI x1600. I had a 1.83 core duo iMac, it was pretty decent for playing games like Half-Life 2. The mini's graphics chip is a joke and making it push a 20" display while gaming adds insult to injury.
