Mines at 2.63 but it can go 2.72 before crashing windows and thats only from limitations of the board. On stock cooling you should see 2.5 stable I'd guess. joe75
My 3000+ will go to 2.47, like I said you should get at least 2.5 with not much work. Keep your multiplier below 10 and see what you can go to before you get BSD on windows boot. Be sure to lock PCI at 67/66. See what you can get to on fsb then run prime in windows and see how long you get before it errors or is unstable. You need to test your own hardware because boards are different and you have a low amount of ram. bwhsh8r
it depends on your spacific chip, make very small jumps until it will not post, then use the jumper reset cables and lower the clock until it posts, then burn in test (run cpu intensive program such as a benchmark) and if it bsods bring it back down until it does not anymore and you have the max cpu clock possible on that cpu hope that helps max Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41063-help-oc-an-athlon-3400-on-stock-fan/#findComment-293591 Share on other sites

superstition
That ECS board likely doesn't support locks, so overclocking isn't a good idea.
