It's the 10.4.4 Window. Don't install this and it should work. There appears to be a problem with it and the Core Duo E1505/E1705. The normal 10.4.8 Window will work just fine. You won't be able to get higher than 1024x768 in VESA mode, noone has worked out how to get the proper display driver working, and the wireless isn't working either. I'm in the same boat.
