Then there were none.
I go ahead and try and install the 10.4.7 JaS image, and when in normal mode, i get it to go to the apple sign and the spinning wheel, and all of a sudden a stop sign appears. So i used the -v command and i got some random stuff, but this error is the one that seems to be stopping it, the error is, 'Waiting for root device' anyway i can fix this? oh and here is my specs if you need them: AMD athlon 64 4000+ Foxconn 6150k8md motherboard 1gb ram 40gb hard drive pioneer dvd burner im not sure if i have the dvd drive and the hd on the same channel. dvornik
My understanding of "waiting for root device" is that the installer can't communicate with your DVD drive. How is your drive connected to the motherboard? dvornik
Sorry I meant more detailed information cause most of them are IDE. Like, which motherboard it is and which IDE controller is on it? It's just that this is a very generic error. dvornik
I don't know. I had the same problem but my system is entirely different (intel, SATA, IDE controller that doesn't work with OSX). Plus, I tries 3 versions of 10.4.8 and one of 10.4.6... No 10.4.7.
