Infamous
I had a very important folder on my HFS+ partition, and it somewhat disappeared. It was there in the root of partition just yesterday. I don't know if i accidentaly removed it and emptied the trash, but I've tried deep scan with Data Rescue II. It has found a lot of files and folders, some of them are very old, and still can be recovered, but the only folder which I need just isn't in the scan result. No file from that folder have been found. I don't get it... How could it just disappear? Is there any possibility of recovery? Most of the files there were PSD graphics. Adrian Fogge
Try taking a look with the Terminal at / to see if the files are there and they just became hidden. I have seen that happen to root files after the 10.4.5 upgrade, maybe it happened again.
