gist
I Just finished installing OSX86 10.4.8 on a completely reformatted HD, and yes I did the installation procedure correctly by not choosing lang, print drivers, and choosing the correct files to install for my Intel. When it went to reboot the apple boot screen comes up, and then it sort of disappears behind lines of wierd colored lines. I have let it sit for about two hours and nothing has happened. I noticed many people don't respond to this type of question, but anything, and I mean anything that could help me get going in the right direction to diagnose this problem and possibly resolving the issue would be much appreciated. Frappe051
If you're selecting graphics drivers as well, try not to. Install it with no options for graphics and see if it boots then. You can always install the drivers at a later time. Edit: I say this because it's exactly what happened to my monitor when I installed it with graphics drivers. gist
Thanx for all of your responses. After posting this I completely erased and re-installed OS X and everything is working beautifully, except for the chain0. Whenever I select OS X from the menu, it cuts to a different screen for about secs, and then cuts back to the OS selection page. Any ideas to why this is happening?? thanx Gist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40930-osx-is-not-wanting-to-cooperate/#findComment-292644 Share on other sites
