gist Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 I'm about to install OSX86 for the first time on my Inspiron 5100, and was wondering if it matters which version of OSX86 I install. On the Wikipedia website it says that 10.4.5 is compatible, but 10.4.8 does not say. So are the newer OSX86 versions compatible with the older ones, or do you have to download the version that is compatible w/ your computer than upgrade it?? tayklor Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 if your cpu has sse3 10.4.8 will work for sure (I do not know what distro will work with sse2) so 10.4.5 10.4.6 and 10.4.7 will work with sse2.
