Hi all,

I'm trying to get as much of my Fujitsu Lifebook model S7020 to work correctly as I can. I've posted a complete spec of my laptop at the bottom of this post. I'm using JaS 10.4.8 AMD/Intel Beta v2.

In short:

Working:

Intel 2200BG Wireless

Broadcom 5751 Ethernet

Doesnt work:

Realtek ALC260 Audio(This did work on first install, but stopped for no reason)

'02Micro' PC Card slot (Found out this is the actual hardware manufacturer and type of the slot)

Would Love to work properly:

Intel GMA 900 Graphics(Would like to change resolutions)

I've been trawling these forums for weeks picking up tips, following drivers and beta testing for as much as I can, but theres only a few things left that I'm hoping some people can help me with.

To be honest, the only things I'd really love to work at all are the networking, graphics and sound but I guess thats still a lot to ask... But I'm almost there.

I've already managed to get the onboard Broadcom 5751 Ethernet to work through the AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext files I've found on this forum, and the Wireless Intel 2200BG kind of works (On unsecured networks only) using the darwin iwi2200bg v6 driver again found in these forums.

I will post links to these things soon.

The only 2 things that confuse me though, is that when I FIRST installed OSx86, the audio worked and I had music playing during the first bootup, however, it appears to have disappeared and/or stopped working.

Also, my GMA900 graphics are stuck at resolution 1024x768 and I would really like to find out how I can toggle this between this and another resolution (I use a bigger monitor when I'm on my docking station).

Can anyone PLEASE help, as I'm almost there.

Thanks all,

plonka2000.

whats replacing the mini-pci card have to do with the card bus?

heres a replacement for the intel 2200 -> Link to dell truemobile 1450 mini-pci card on ebay for $20

Edited by DiaboliK

Thank you VERY VERY much for the GMA900 link.

I'm dling now and will try immediately.

I'm not sure what revision of the 02micro cardbus this is. Is there a way I can find out?

I've thought about replacing the internal 2200BG but is it really worth it if I can get it working?

The GMA900 patch works PERFECTLY!

QE Support and I can switch from 1024x768 to 1440x900 perfectly (1440 is my work LCD native resolution).

Thanks very much, you have really made my day!

I'm looking at the WiFi card you have advised at the moment, I'll get my Lifebook open and check my slot is compatible... If so, I might be able to go for it.

Otherwise, the only thing I cant seem to get working is the Realtek ALC260 audio.

I've seen that there are quite a few people that have it, but I cant seem to find anything that actually works at all. Do you by chance know of any fixes for this card?

Thanks again, you guys rock.

I've just found that if I startup my laptop without a monitor plugged in, I get a blank blue screen and have to hard reset.

I found out some time ago that this is a problem with the GMA900 driver detecting the monitor as it doesnt see the internal monitor as default.

When I had this problem before using my current 10.4.8 version, I used the old stapler in the external VGA port trick to make it work.

Any idea how I can fix this this time?
