Sapphire ATI Radeon x1600Pro 256Mb (0x71cd)

Hi:

 

I recently bought a Sapphire Radeon x1600Pro (256Mb), case is that I can't get acceleration under OSX86 (no QE, no CI), with 10.4.8 I tried using Nanit 1.0 but eventough the system recogniced the card I still had no acceleration.

 

Afterwards I tried Boris method (after reinstalling Mac OS X) but on reboot I just receive a message that says I have to reset the computer. I believe that all is due to my Device ID.

 

My card data is:

 

Vendor ID: 0x1002

Device ID: 0x71cd (RV530)

 

Could you please give me a clue of whether it is possible or not to accomplish the task with this card, or should I change it for a 7300GT.

Ive got the same problem. Ive tried all methods including making a custom version of Natit for my card. Ive even coppied all the original ATIRadeonX1000 related files from both a Macbook Pro and iMac. Nodda.. Im going to tinker for two more weeks and if I cant get it after that im getting a Radeon X1900XTX.

This graphic card is Ati radeon 1600/1650 (0x71cd) Same problem. Tried with Kalyway 10.5.2, Leo4All v3, iDeneb, Result - working but no QE/CI, problems with MS office for mac (button bars not showing, slow refresh of screen ) etc. Heard something about changing the firmware but i think it's better to sell this and buy 2600xt or something else. Waste of time...
