forthex
I used tubgirl's AMD 10.4.7 release and it installs and runs perfectly on my 8GB Westen Digital (WDC WD80EB-28CGH2, i'm writing this right now in firefox on OSX)... but 8GB is nothing, so i tried to install on my 120GB Western Digital (WD1200LB-55EDA0). The installer works fine, but when I boot from the HD, I get that P.O.S. "boot.plist is missing" message (I'm paraphrasing). I used Carbon Copy Cloner (an OSX app i found) to copy my 8GB to the 120GB and that worked, (it booted the 120GB and everything ran fine), but it ran on an 8GB partition. So I then used Disk Utility to expand the partition to use the whole drive (I had to boot the 8GB to modify the 120GB because you apparently can't edit the device from where you booted up), and that appeared to work. But when i tried to boot from the 120GB I got that damn boot.plist error message again! I need your help. The 120GB obviously can run OSX... what is going on? e-rick
Try cloning using HD Clonetool. < clonetool link> You can partition your disk first. Clonetool than makes a clone of your OSX 8GB partition on any HD without changing the size of the destination partition. Be sure to set disk as primary. lord_muad_dib
10.4.8 disk util doesn't work good with mbr partition tables!
U.C.
I would recommend you remove your 8GB from your system and then install OSX on your 120GB. It should work.

e-rick
Have you checked if boot.plist is actually missing on the 120GB disk? Edited February 2, 2007 by e-rick
Mr. Surge
I got a WD80EB-28CGH1 from an xbox, unlocked it, and OS X won't even start up with it connected. Funny how just one number can everything up.
