Bruce Wang
1. Freshly installed JaS 10.4.7. 2. Applied JaS 10.4.8 SEE2 Combo Update patch and reboot. 3. Copied AppleACPIPlatform.kext, AppleAPIC.kext, IOACPIFamily.kext and IOAudioFamily.kext to desktop. 4. Applied JaS SSE2 Beta9 patch to 10.4.8 SSE2 working installation. DON'T REBOOT! 5. Before reboot, deleted r2d2, AppleACPIPlatform.kext, AppleAPIC.kext, IOACPIFamily.kext and IOAudioFamily.kext 6. Moved AppleACPIPlatform.kext, AppleAPIC.kext, IOACPIFamily.kext and IOAudioFamily.kext back to Extensions folder 7. Repaired disk permissions and prebinding things (update_prebinding -root / -force) 8. Reboot normally 9. Switch to the newest kernel which suits for your CPU (SEE3 or SEE2) Bruce Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40630-always-restart-after-im-update-to-1048/#findComment-290752 Share on other sites
