So here's the problem. I got JAS 10.4.8 to install on my Dell Dimension 2400 (2.4 celeron, 256 ram) then when I tried going on the internet, Apple said I am not connected to the internet, so I was tried running the network diagnostics but was told I had no Ethernet card (which is built into the motherboard itself). So I did some looking around and found out the Dynex DX-E101 works, so I went out tonight and bought that, installed the card inside my computer, tried going online without installing drivers that came with the card to no luck. So I installed the drivers, restarted as stated, tried again...no luck.

Any ideas to what my problem/problems might be? If you need more specs I will be more than happy to grab those for you.

Also if this is the wrong section, my apologizes.

Thanks for any incite!

The built in one is a Broadcom 440x, when I was looking around I found the 10.4.3 IONetworkingFamily.kext from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...amp;#entry73600 Didn't seem to fix the problem. Still no luck with the Dynex card either, since when I try to install the drivers that came with the disk after I restart I get an error saying it did not install correctly.

Hi there,

this may be a long shot, but you could try replacing the PlugIns folder from your IONetworkFamily.kext with the ones from tubgirl's release. I read that a lot of people have problems with JaS and network cards.

PM me if you need the files.
