ppan76
Well today I decided to re-partition my computer. Everything was working fine when installed as the only OS in this computer. I never had a problem installing so I thought I shouldn't have a problem installing it again. Well this is my setup OSX 10.4.8 30GB NTFS Partition 50GB FAT32 Shared Partition 20GB HFS Mac Partition The computer reboots, I am in OSX and then I reboot again and I get the HFS+ Partition Error. Now where is this coming from? Weird thing is that If I put the OSX install DVD in it, and press some keys. My computer will boot correctly. I have read about making sure the partition is active, primary and set to ID=AF I have done all that. Is there anything I am missing? Please note I have install MacOS on this computer as the only OS and it works almost perfectly. cionide
I as well had this problem after installing mac os. To fix this error i used fdisk to make my ntfs partition active then used bcdedit in vista to make a option for mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40517-hfs-partition-error/#findComment-323285 Share on other sites
Bruce Wang
Boot from OS X DVD, open Terminal from TOOLS. Type below commands: fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (0=your primary HDD) flag n (n=your HFS partition number) update write quite Exit installation and reboot.
