  1. Dell Bios, AHCI/RAID, SSD

Do you think you can post all the files you added or modified? I was able to get Moutain Lion installed and running. Have the kext in the EXTRA folders. Running veriosn 10.8 of the BIOS. I am having problems shutting down and rebooting. I tried some stuff here and still have the same issue. My /E/E IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext Intel82566MM.kext LegacyAppleAHCIPortIntelICHx.kext VoodooHDA.kext fakesmc.kext My Extra dsdt.aml dsdt.dsl org.chameleon.Boot.plist smbios.plist The dsdt.aml files are ones I downloaded from you. I also patched the APpleRTC.kext file. Not sure what else I am missing to fix the shutdown/restart. Also does your sound work perfectly? Mine cracks and sometimes stops working. Thanks.
  2. No you aint good enough. No NUTSSSS for you But back on topic, the new kext didnt improve or fix what I posted previously. CPU is stuck at 1GHz. Let me know if you have other files to test.
  3. Where is the new version? I made search for Direct Drive and went to your profile and didn't find anything. BTW, if the picture in your profile is you--use Photoshop to erase the little mold you have in the thigh. Use the STAMP tool, very useful.
  4. Amazingly High Vista Annoyance

I said when they write a "NICE" version of Expose. MyExpose is not finished and it's extremely buggy. I believe it has not been updated since November or December. But it does show a nice feature of Flip3D... Live Thumbnails.
  5. Amazingly High Vista Annoyance

From the user experience perspective. I think Vista is pretty much the same as Windows XP. With just a cleaner more eye candy interface. If you turn off UAC is basically behaves the same way. I am not sure if I am too used to the Windows Explorer in 2K or XP. But I sortta dont like the explorer in Vista. I am still trying to find the reason. I dont like Flip3D. But I love it that MS finally wrote the thumbnail Window API. No more taking screenshots of Windows anymore. Someday, someone will write a nice version of Exposed. And hopefully someday will write a *Fast* Beryl for Vista (unlikely though). Love the Sleep function under Vista. P.S. Beryl is awesome. Buggy as hell and extremely hard to configure. But really nice eye candy for the desktop.
  6. C'mom guys!!!! My NUTS are getting warm over here.
  7. you guys can have my right and left nut. Peanuts...that is.
  8. After trying the packages I do gain 30 minutes more of battery time. That's running the laptop at 1GHz and 100Mhz Bus speed. Dynamic CPU throttling is not working for me. The CPU stays at 1GHZ though It does seem CpuThrottle is trying to change the frequency of the CPU...it s failing though. Sleep at least for me is not working or there is no change. I believe to get sleep and SpeedStep fixed is extremely difficult. I have never gotten it to work trying 4 different computers. (All the way from version 10.4.3)
  9. I just realized there was a CPU Throttler Application Installed. I just launched it and tried changing the settings. Nothing happends when I change the CPU Speed or load or save a profile. Nothing happends. Also when the appication is open. I cannot run Activity Monitor, Terminal and checking System Profiler don't return all the parameters. Thanks.
  10. Front Row enabling in 10.4.8

Does this work on laptops? If I plug in my USB mouse it works...
  11. The way I do is start macosx on single user mode (-s). Then delete the CPUThrottle Kext from the \Library\StartupItems and copy my mach_kernel back. After that you can install whatever packages you need as many times as you want to test.
  12. That means that CPUThrottle was not loaded correctly. If it did, you would get something.
  13. Ok I tried both of the packages and it seems I am getting better results with Okik's "modified" kext. 15. Here is my result with sleep. I dont see any changes to the laptop sleep function. The screen goes blank and I am unable to wake the computer up. It also seems the fan goes to 100% when trying to go to sleep. And it also seems to be inconsistant. My notebook has a keyboard shortcut to put the laptop to sleep (FN+F5). The laptop seems to go to sleep (HD, Screen and FAN). Then after about 1 minute it will wakeup. Yes the screen comes back, wireless comes back, but I cant do anything. Mouse and keyboard not responding. And sometimes it just decides not to wake. Doing a kextstat returns this 17 9 0x2492d000 0x4000 0x3000 com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily (1.2.0) <11> 18 5 0x24968000 0x37000 0x36000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (1.0.3) <17 16 11> 27 0 0x2a740000 0x4000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIButtons (1.0.3) <21 18 17 6 5 4 3 2> 29 0 0x2a82a000 0x5000 0x4000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIEC (1.0.3) <28 18 17 11> 32 0 0x2a8eb000 0x3000 0x2000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPCI (1.0.3) <18 17 16 11> 60 0 0x31483000 0x2000 0x1000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPILPC (1.0.1d0) <16 5 4 3> 64 0 0x314ee000 0x4000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPowerSource (1.0.3) <18 17 11> 66 0 0x31500000 0x8000 0x7000 com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin (2.6.0d1) <65 17 16 11 5 4 3> 68 0 0x31508000 0x4000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIThermal (1.0.3) <18 17 11> 81 0 0x42660000 0x5000 0x4000 com.OSx86Project.kext.ACPICPUThrottle (1.0.2) <11 4 3 2> Which means that ACPILPC is loaded. So no luck for me with sleep/wakeup. At least SpeedStep is working!!.
