Im running 10.4.8. Tried to install Adium, and Firefox. Both of the .dmg's mount fine, and I get the "Drag this icon to your applications folder to install". I've done that. When you click on either icon, nothing happens. I have one of the icons in my dock. It throbs when you click on it, but then nothing happens. Ideas?

Edit to give you more details:

Im running a Dual Core AMD Opteron 165 (Socket 939)

Mobo is a DFI LanParty Ultra-D

OSX 10.4.8 is on a secondary harddrive.

I used the tiger-x86-flat.img and DD to copy it to this drive. (deadmoo)

I have removed the TPMACPI.kext to improve performance.

Applications still didnt run, so I installed a new kernel that allows SSE3 to work, since its

disabled in deadmoo's image.

Applications are still not running.
