nargot
I tried using my fully working radeon 1600 in another mahine but have encountered problems. ---Working machine--- mobo Gigabyte GA-8I945GZME-RH cpu intel 820D os jas 10.4.6 upgraded to jas 10.4.8 and Jas 10.4.8v1 dvd (the final jas 10.4.8 dvd caused AFP problems so i switched back) OS JAS 10.4.8v1 final dvd ATI RADEON X1600 Pro, 256 mb ram works with neophus installer http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=130125 works perfectly with natit in Titan and 8.8.1 kernel ---problem machine---- mobo Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 cpu intel E6300 final jas 10.4.8v1 Radeon 7300GS 128 mb ram works perfectly with titan ATI RADEON X1600 Pro, 256 mb ram - Natit (all version of kexts)/ titan cause screen corruption problems that crash the computer. When natit/titan not installed the card works fine but without CI/QE/resolution switching. I'm wanting to use the radeon in this machine and the 7300GS in the other machine. Has anyone got any idea why the card will not work on the mobo with the 965P chipset? cheers. peekay_us
No idea what the problem could be. You might try installing an earlier version of the neo installer, or installing the package that comes on the JaS 10.4.8 dvd. (The package on the dvd works best for me) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40327-ati-radeon-x1600-pro-dilema/#findComment-287925 Share on other sites
nargot
tried both neo installers available. also the package available in the jas dvd's causes the same corruption problems (both natit - 1st jas dvd and titan - 2nd jas dvd). thanks for the input. nargot
could the problem be due to the mobo supporting Crossfire? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40327-ati-radeon-x1600-pro-dilema/#findComment-290975 Share on other sites
