cringemaster
Normally when I am looking for old NeXT or Rhapsody drivers, a classic version of Mac OS, or some of the utilities needed for older mac hardware, I went to the Apple Mirror. It was a small, "underground" server set up as a software repository by a few Apple employees, and was "being provided by a single Mac OS X Server running on a 400Mhz G4 Macintosh". It had FTP access and a decent user interface for searching through the all of the software archives. But when visiting today, to my dismay, I found a message claiming that "This server has been retired.". I guess the few Apple employees finally had to shut down that small time machine branch of the Apple site down. Its sad to see all of those great software achives, and all those old NeXT and Rhapsody support files go with it. While you can still visit the site from Web.Archive.org, You cannot download any of the files, nor do some of the links work anymore. sHARD>>
Yeah, I hit this the other day. After checking their new FTP, it seems that most of their old free OS upgrades are dead and gone along with it. Sad.
