vipet11111111
Hi, Is there any way to communicate with Photoshop (e.g. to send it a javascript code to run) ? In Windows you can just use COM. And is there any COM alternative on Mac? (yeah, I'm a newbie) I know that I could use Automator for automating Photoshop. BUT I'd like to avoid using Automator, just plane C++ code. Any ideas? Thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40011-how-to-communicate-with-photoshop-not-with-automator/ Share on other sites

vipet11111111
A Nonny Moose, thank you. I need to construct a script (well, let it be Appliscript) in my program and execute it step-by-step (trace mode). Is that possible with Automator? (I.e. from my program I'm telling Automator to execute a single-line (or so) script.) And how do I handle errors in this case? please advice if there's a good book a resource where I could read about all that Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40011-how-to-communicate-with-photoshop-not-with-automator/#findComment-288435 Share on other sites
