DaJinx
Hi everyone, I'm new here and trying to get Mac OS installed on my PC but I'm having a problem. First of all here's my specs. 3 Ghz - Pentium D 2x160 GB SATA 1x120 GB IDE on ITE interface 1 Ghz DDR II Ram ASUS P5LD2 Mobo Now I downloaded an iso image of a JAS release 10.4.8 and booted the DVD, everything went very smooth, the installation started and I went through all the steps and it installed successfully. Then it said the machine had to be rebooted, and this is where the problem started. I am unable to get Mac OS to load. I was first getting an error once it rebotted it said "HFS+ Partiton Error" so I found some info that said to boot up back into the install DVD and open a terminal and type some commands in there. I can't remember exactly what it was, something having to do with "fdisk /dev/rdisk0". So I think it redid the MBR or something so I closed that and rebooted not this time I didn't get that HFS+ error, A message came on saying that it was loading Darwin then the PC reboots on it's own and keeps repeating this process. It's weird and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get OSX to work on my PC. Any ideas on how I can successfully get it installed? I'd really appreciate the help from all you gurus here. Cheers, Jinx Edited January 26, 2007 by DaJinx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40007-osx-installation-issue/ Share on other sites
