Hey guys! I've got a few issues with OSX (JaS 10.4.8 Intel/AMD SEE2/3 DVD). Its running on a 2.4ghz p4 (see2) with 1gb of ram and a 128mb FX5900.

One of the problems is that I installed this system on a 21" Sony CRT monitor. Now, in college, I'm using a 22" ViewSonic LCD on DVI. So sometimes when I boot into OSX, it will not redetect that I'm using the monitor on DVI, and it will just crash, forcing me to do a hard reboot. How would I fix that so that when I boot up, the video is automatically sent to the DVI?

Also, the DVD player is increadibly slow. I don't know why, since I have QE/CI working with no problems.

Thanks :P

I think it's not possible to switch monitors without rebooting.. dunno if that made sense..

About the DVD, it's because you have an AGP card, and Ox X doesn't support AGP.. (so it will get the speed of a normal PCI bus, which is slow compared to the 8x AGP bus..)

Asfar as I know, there's no solution, since the AGP driver ruins the Titan & natit hack.

Oh well about the DVD. That's why this is a triple boot system. Weird about how divx plays w/o problems though.

Anyways... I do not switch monitors every time. What I did was I installed OSX on my desktop at home with a 21" sony CRT. Then I drove the computer (not the monitor) to my college and hooked it up to my viewsonic 22" LCD via DVI. So I need OSX to know that I'm using the DVI from now on, and not VGA, since it sporadically does not turn on and I have to do a restart.
