OSXtotheZ
I just got a viewsonic vx2235vm 22" LCD monitor. Connected to a mactel intel gavl915 with intel gma 900. I like it a lot but have a strange anomily happening and need some help. When I first hooked it up I was able to set the resolution to the native 1680 x 1050. Everything looked great. Then after rebooting I noticed the sceen look a little scrunched. I went to the display prefs and all the resolutions listed were different than before many more were listed but the native resolution was not on the list?? After much messing around I re started holding f8 then continued with -v I ran fsck -f and then reboot -n. When all was done I could tell it was in native 1680 x 1050 and checking the display prefs I saw a shorter list but the native resolution was in fact listed and selected. After rebooting though the same thing happen the native resolution is lost and something else is selected. Please see thes two screen shots even the display prefs are different. compared to Does anyone know what is going on?? How can I get the native res to stick?
