bpeugh
Okay, people have been having success with the Elgato EyeTV500 and the Miglia TVMini/Micro but is there anything out there that can be used to watch/record TV that will work for both the Mac and for Windows that is not outrageously expensive? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39244-macwin-tv-tuner/ Share on other sites
plympton
WinTV HVR-950 - it's the same as the EyeTV Hybrid, but cheaper ($70 - $99). Not bad - I had one that I gave to a friend afer building my HTPC. Pretty good, considering all it is doing is a digital receiver in the UHF frequency (HDTV), and recording bits it receives to the HD. Works on Mac and Windows, but the Windows software sucks. -Dan Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39244-macwin-tv-tuner/#findComment-279835 Share on other sites
bpeugh
Do you just use Eyetv 2.0 for the software for the Mac then? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39244-macwin-tv-tuner/#findComment-280201 Share on other sites

A30Guy
I just got my TwinHan Mini Ter to work on 10.4.5. You'll need the MMInputFamily and Drivers v0.8.4a3 and iTele v0.6.3a1 files. Everything seems to work well at the moment. miramar
I'm using the Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid USB stick (PAL/DVB-T). They also have a NTSC/ATSC version. It's sold as a Mac package with EyeTV Lite software and as a Windows MCE version without any software. The hardware inside is the same and is supported by the EyeTV that you can buy off Elgato's website. Naturally the Windows version is cheaper, RM365=USD106 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39244-macwin-tv-tuner/#findComment-392026 Share on other sites
