ZeeG
I installed JaS 10.4.8 AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 on my friend's T60 (Type 2623-D6U). I believe, it has CoreDuo 1.8GHz, and ATI Mobility x1300. The intallation went OK, but after rebooting the machine, I only could see blank black screen with one underscore (cursor) blinking - no error message. It looks like even the system (machine) cannot find hard drive. What I did during the installation, I formatted the hard drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaling enabled) with Disk Utility and just followed the installation procedure. Could you someone please let me know what I did wrong? Bruce Wang
The Disk Utility in JaS 10.4.8 AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 DVD is buggy, try to set the partition with earlier version of DVD then install 10.4.8. Or refer to below thread for how to fix Disk Utility in 10.4.8 ISO. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=38125 Bruce Edited January 17, 2007 by Bruce Wang Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38977-how-to-install-1048-on-thinkpad-t60-2623-d6u/#findComment-277754 Share on other sites
linux4guru
Have you try to disable the Duo Core feature and tell it to boot with platform=ACPI|X86PC -v option to see the output? I believe the machine has ATI Radeon Mobility x1300. Which driver should I use?
